Here's a lovely family photo of Ronald (Left) and Eustace Applegate sent in by Alison Taylor nee Applegate - Eustace's daughter. A photo from the Stafford era - 1941.
Eustace went on to study medicine at Westminster Hospital before returning to Kent to work at Margate General Hospital (now QEQM). He then travelled to Nigeria with his family to work as a Missionary Doctor in the 1960s.
On returning to the UK Eustace moved to Norfolk where he worked as a paediatrician.
Ronald is still with us and is now 98 years old. Eustace passed last year at the age of 95.
