We have recently been informed that David Burney, who taught Economics, Business and Leisure and Tourism at the School from 1991 to 2015 has passed away.
Alongside his teaching commitments, he enjoyed assisting in hockey and cricket coaching plus saw national success with a number of teams in the ‘Young Consumer of the Year’ competition.
Hi funeral was held at Thanet Crematorium on 19th March 2026 at 1:00pm, followed by a celebration of his life at the Sir Stanley Grey, Pegwell, Ramsgate from 2:00pm.
