Our Hon Secretary, David Carr, recently published his new book "The Chatham House Story": a history of Chatham House School, its pupils, staff and buildings from its earliest beginnings in the 18th century to its latest incarnation as a co-educational Grammar School with over 1400 pupils on 3 sites.

The book, 97 pages in all, has proved incredibly popular, not only among ex-staff and ORs, but also anyone who has an interest in the Ramsgate area, as it incorporates rare photos, maps and previously unknown facts about the School. Due to its popularity David is currently in the process of writing a Second Edition, which includes even more photos and drawings as well as brief biographies about some well-known headmasters, teachers and sporting heroes.

Book sales give a profit share to the OR Club, so purchasing a copy (or two!) will help you increase Club funds; all of which, as you will know, go towards funding School projects.

You can purchase copies from Michael's Bookshop in Ramsgate or online from Lulu.com Bookstore here. You can also buy copies from Amazon - though David tells us that Amazon's share of sales is so large that there's not much profit for passing to the Club!
